The museum was established as a 1987 Bonitafest event and was originally located in a storefront along Bonita Road. Through the generosity of the Bonita-Sunnyside Fire Protection District the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center is now located in the old fire house. Exhibits are continually changing to enrich the cultural and historical experience of the community residents and visitors to the area. Receptions are held periodically to introduce the new exhibits. FREE ADMISSION!

CDSD was established in 1999 and became a 501c3 non-profit organization at the end of 2000, and is San Diego's only Cambodian cultural performance organization. CDSD is made up of Cambodian youth from different schools within San Diego and is organized by a group of volunteered adults. By participating in dancing activities these youth have enhanced their self-esteem and brought schools, parents, and communities together. CDSD is built on professionalism and community
