| The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego serve at-risk youth between the ages of six and eighteen and reaching out to young people in need. Our sole purpose is to better serve the 15,000 youth who are currently Club members in the Greater San Diego region. With a staff of 140 employees, we now operate eleven facilities, three public housing sites and three school-site programs throughout San Diego County.

| The San Dieguito River Valley Regional Open Space Park Joint Powers Authority, also known as the San Dieguito River Park, is the agency responsible for creating a natural open space park in the San Dieguito River Valley. The Park will someday extend from the ocean at Del Mar to Volcan Mountain, just north of Julian. |

| Located 32 miles northeast of the Zoo near the city of Escondido in north San Diego County. It is also a completely different experience than a visit to the Zoo. The 1,800-acre wildlife preserve, which allows visitors to view herds of exotic animals as they might have been seen in their native Asia and Africa, was established in 1969 under the directorship of Dr. Charles Schroeder. Today, the Park has over 3,500 animals respresenting 260 species, and is also an accredited botanical garden. |
