Our beautiful seaside gallery in downtown La Jolla, near the corner of Prospect and Girard features original paintings of over forty contemporary Italian artists. In addition, we sell handcrafted, hand painted ceramics from various regions in Italy. Established a century ago and located in a historic building in the heart of La Jolla, the Athenaeum is one of only 17 nonprofit membership libraries in the country. Over the past century, the Athenaeum has grown into a vital cultural center specializing in music and visual art, and offering a depth and accessibility of cultural resources and programs found nowhere else in the region. In addition to the loan of its extensive collections, the Athenaeum sponsors a diverse schedule of concerts, exhibitions, lectures, and tours, as well as studio art classes for adults and children.
