A countywide, nonformal educational program administrated by University of California to help youth discover, develop and strengthen leadership and life skills in partnership with caring adults. Community-based groups of youth develop plans, make decisions and carry out service activities. The 4-H mission is to help youth develop into responsible, self-directed, productive citizens of the world and to improve the well being of society through the use of research based learning-by-doing experiences.
